World book day

Your challenge for this World Book Day is to make a bookmark! Bookmarks help us keep our place in a book when we take a break from reading. It can be like any bookmark you want, because it’s going to be yours. There is a document on the school website you can edit with a computer or print off and work with in paper or card! Here are some design ideas:

Choose one activity from this selection of well-being activities:

  • Make a list of exciting things you can tell your friends when you go back to school.
  • What have you missed most about school? Draw a picture.
  • Plan a game you can play with your friend next week. How could you include someone who doesn't normally play with you, in one of your games?
  • Draw a day of feeling. Draw 5 circles for faces and draw your facial expressions about how you feel about coming back to school.

Choose your Show & Tell

We would like you to choose a piece of work you have completed during your lockdown learning that you feel proud of. Perhaps it was a Maths sheet you found really tricky but you worked really hard on it. Maybe it is your English story and you are proud of how you used your new learning. You could choose a piece of artwork that you really enjoyed making or some History or Science work that you found really interesting. Once you have chosen the piece of work then we would like you to consider why it makes you feel proud. We would like you to bring this piece of work with you on Monday to share with the class. If you feel confident enough to, we would love for you to do a show and tell of this piece of work. We feel this will be a wonderful celebration of all your learning and a great opportunity to share with each other. Please can we ask that you only bring ONE piece of work to share.

Purple mash activities that have been set as To-Dos will pop up on your account on the day they are set and will be due the next day. (If you are unsure of your purple mash login please get in touch with Mr Warren or Miss Hensman as we can find these for you.)

Additional Activities

These are short activities available for the mornings and before or after Teams calls. These will be available on the Year 3 website page to download and use if you wish. They do not need to be handed in to your teacher.
