School Tours for Prospective Parents

We are delighted to invite prospective parents and carers to visit Falkland Primary School and experience our welcoming community, meet members of our leadership team, and see the school in action.

All tours begin at 9.00am and last approximately one hour.

Parking Information

Please note that there is no on-site parking available for visitors. Visitors must not park in St George’s Church or Church Hall car parks.

If you are travelling by car, please allow sufficient time to park in the surrounding residential streets and walk to the school for the start of your tour.

Our admissions authority is West Berkshire Local Authority, which means that they handle all enquiries and allocations. They can be contacted on 01635 551111.

If you have a child coming up to age 5, then you must make arrangements for your child’s education. We hope you will choose Falkland Primary School. The first step is to ring the school on 01635 44949 to arrange a visit or tour. To make an application for admission you will then need to complete the West Berkshire Admissions form online or return it to West Berkshire Council’s Admissions Department.

West Berkshire’s admissions arrangements are that all children who will be turning five years old during the coming academic year may start in Early Years (Reception) full-time at the beginning of that year. For further details about our admission and appeal arrangements please contact West Berkshire Council’s Admissions department.

If you are moving into the area you will need to contact West Berkshire Council’s Admissions department who will send you a ‘Parents’ Guide to Admissions to Primary School in West Berkshire’. If a place is available you will be notified by West Berkshire Council who will then advise you of the starting date.
