ICT in School

Our ethos at Falkland ensures that all children are nurtured and guided towards reaching their full potential, enabling them to have the knowledge, skills and confidence to embrace and thrive in the rapidly developing world in which we live. Within this world, our children will almost certainly be faced with some form of computing and will require the necessary skills and understanding to embrace the technology that surrounds them as well as being effective, responsible and vigilant users throughout their life.
Computing fosters computational thinking which is a powerful way to solve problems. It requires a growth mind-set attitude and skills of evaluation, problem-solving and enquiry which underpin our Falkland Values of reflection, resilience, teamwork and resourcefulness. These skills will be vital in empowering our children at Falkland with a ‘can do’ attitude and allows them to become independent and resilient in their learning and beyond.
